Minister Shraddha Shrestha Casts Vote in Kathmandu for House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. Shraddha Shrestha, the Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens of the Government of Nepal, has cast her vote in the House of Representatives election. She voted from Kathmandu.

Minister Shrestha exercised her franchise at Polling Center (C) at Khadga Bhadrakali Primary School, Bhadrakali. She is a voter in Kathmandu Constituency Number 5.

Speaking to journalists after casting her vote, Minister Shrestha urged all voters to actively participate in the democratic process. She said,

‘I have fulfilled my civic duty by voting in today's historic House of Representatives election. I trust that you have also exercised your valuable right to vote.’

Since taking charge of the ministry, Shrestha has initiated various efforts towards enhancing the rights and participation of women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and children.

She has been actively working on making social security-related programs more effective, ensuring a dignified life for senior citizens, and increasing the participation of women and persons with disabilities in public life.

Minister Shrestha emphasized that active citizen participation is essential for strengthening democracy and urged everyone to participate enthusiastically in voting.
