Bollywood Actress Ayesha Khan Reveals Shocking Details of Extreme Mental and Sexual Harassment Online

Mumbai. Bollywood actress Ayesha Khan has made a startling revelation about the extreme mental and sexual harassment she has been enduring on social media. Speaking at a recent Moj Story conference, she stated that she receives threats of rape almost every day and is subjected to obscene comments about her body.

She claimed that this problem has become so common that she can show hundreds of such threatening messages by opening her phone right now. She faced even more trolling after publicly discussing the ordeal she went through during the shooting of the song for her latest film, 'Dhurandhar,' while she was menstruating.

She expressed sadness that a natural bodily process was turned into a national joke. She said, 'Whether I wear a normal top or a skirt, people always have a problem. I have to think ten times before posting any photo because people only look at it from a sexual perspective.'

Ayesha gave an example of how frightening the threats on the internet can be, stating that some people send violent messages saying they could do anything if they had the power. What is even scarier is that the people issuing such threats are living around us in our own society.

On one occasion during a film shoot, it was discovered that a spot boy working on the set had been sending her obscene voice notes and messages for a long time. After she immediately informed her father and the production team, action was taken against that individual.

Ayesha also disclosed that she had once been subjected to an attempted rape, stating that such incidents and online threats leave her emotionally distraught. She observed that while almost every woman in public life faces similar trolling and security challenges, the lack of effective action against this is a matter of concern.

She demanded an end to such tendencies, asserting that no citizen should have to live under the shadow of fear.
