Over 1,100 Killed in Iran Conflict Since Saturday, Reports Cite Activist Agency

Tehran. More than 1,100 people have been killed in the conflict that began in Iran on Saturday. According to a report published by CNN, citing the US Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 1,114 people have been killed in the fighting so far.

Among the deceased are 183 children. Most of these children are under the age of 10. HRANA stated that it is still working to confirm more than 900 reported deaths. Some attacks in the previous 24 hours reportedly targeted civilian sites protected under international humanitarian law. High schools, various medical sites, and clinics were also targeted in the attacks.

The death toll in the latest conflict is approaching the total fatalities from last year's 12-day conflict. According to HRANA, approximately 1,190 people died in Iran during that conflict. The fatalities in that instance also included actions by Israeli and US forces.

Meanwhile, dozens of people have been killed in other parts of the Middle East due to retaliatory attacks from Tehran. Local officials reported that six US soldiers were among those killed.
