Voting Centers Prepared in Kathmandu for House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. Targeting the House of Representatives elections, polling stations in various locations across the federal capital Kathmandu have been prepared for the election. According to the Election Commission's schedule, the work of constructing polling centers with necessary infrastructure in all constituencies of Kathmandu district is almost complete.

Temporary sheds are being constructed, fences are being erected, and painting work is underway at major intersections, schools, and public places in Kathmandu. The District Election Office stated that special attention has been paid to making the polling centers accessible for persons with disabilities, the elderly, and pregnant women.

Considering security arrangements, preparations are being made to install CCTV cameras at every polling station and deploy an adequate number of security personnel. The administration has clarified that additional security forces will be stationed at polling centers considered sensitive. –News Agency Nepal
