Suspicious Package Found in Vehicle of House of Representatives Candidate in Parsa

Kathmandu. A suspicious object was found in the vehicle of a House of Representatives candidate in Badaniyar Bazaar, Parsa Rural Municipality-3, Parsa district.

A police official from the District Police Office, Parsa, told Ratopati that upon stopping and inspecting vehicle number Ba.10 Cha 1250 traveling from Harpur towards Badaniyar, items including a tin can wrapped with tape used for making bombs and wires were discovered. The vehicle belongs to Manoj Kumar Chaudhary, 46, the candidate for the CPN (UML) for Parsa-2.

The police have taken into custody the driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Sahab Alam Ansari, 30-year-old Suraj Karki from Dhanusha who was traveling in the car, and 68-year-old Satyanarayan Tharu from Biruwatole, Parsagadhi.

Candidate Chaudhary is also under police surveillance. A team from the District Police Office, Parsa, is investigating the incident.
