Home Minister Visits Injured in Ramechhap Jeep Accident at Military Hospital

Kathmandu. Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa visited the injured in the jeep accident that occurred in Ramechhap on Monday and inquired about their health condition.

Home Minister Thapa's team visited the injured receiving treatment at the Chhauni-based Military Hospital and gathered information about their condition. One person died and seven were injured in the bus accident that occurred in Sirubari, Ramechhap Municipality-2.

The injured were rescued and are currently undergoing treatment at the Chhauni-based Military Hospital. On that occasion, Home Minister Thapa wished the injured a speedy recovery and stated that the government would not let any shortcomings occur in their treatment. Ministry Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Spokesperson Anand Kafle, and other high officials accompanied the Home Minister to the hospital.

According to Assistant Major General Dr. Namrata Mahara of the Nepali Army and a doctor at Chhauni Hospital, Puja Sunuwar among the injured is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The remaining six, Bhim Bahadur Manandhar, Kedar Kumar Roka, Durga Karki, Krishna Prasad Ghimire, Sabina Khadka, and Samar Bahadur Manandhar, are being treated in the medical ward. Among the injured, there are four women and three men.

The vehicle with registration number Na 7 Kha 6768, carrying election materials and staff from Manthali to the polling centers Kalika Devi Secondary School and Deurali Secondary School, fell about 100 meters down the road. Police reported that Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police, Parshuram Yadav, tragically died on the spot in the accident. It is understood that 11 people were traveling in the vehicle.
