Sajha Prakashan Releases Comprehensive Reference Book 'Election Encyclopedia' Authored by Former CEC Dinesh Thapaliya

Lalitpur. Sajha Prakashan has published a comprehensive reference book titled 'Nirwachan Gyankosh' (Election Encyclopedia).

The work, authored by former Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya, has hit the market. The publication stated that the book has achieved significant sales in a short period since its release. Sajha Prakashan expressed excitement over the positive feedback received from politicians, journalists, and election stakeholders regarding the book.

This is Thapaliya's fifth work, following approximately 35 years in civil service and six years in leadership roles in a constitutional body. The book claims to present a new perspective for understanding democratic practices by addressing the complex aspects of elections.

The book includes detailed definitions and explanations of important terminology and phrases related to democracy, electoral systems, election justice, governance structures, and representation. The publication stated that this encyclopedia, presented in Devanagari alphabetical order, has been made useful as a 'handbook' for election management.

Bhishmaraj Ghimire, the General Manager for the publication, informed that the book also incorporates a comparative analysis of Nepal's constitution and laws alongside international election practices.
