Nepal Oil Corporation Urges Public Against Hoarding Fuel Amid Regular Supply

Kathmandu. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has urged the general public not to hoard petroleum products as imports are proceeding regularly.

NOC's Executive Director Chandika Prasad Bhatta requested against unnecessary stockpiling, citing the risk of accidents, and informed that fuel supply is regular and will remain so throughout the elections.

He stated in a notice on Monday, "The import of petroleum products is happening regularly through the pipeline, and sufficient import of petroleum products will continue during the upcoming elections."

He also informed that filling jerrycans and drums with petroleum products has been prohibited, considering the potential risk of fire accidents that could occur from unnecessary storage in jerrycans and drums.

The corporation has requested all consumers to cooperate by purchasing only the necessary quantity of petroleum products to minimize the risk of potential fire accidents.
