Nepali Congress Expresses Grief Over Fatal Accident in Ramechhap Involving Election Officials

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has expressed sorrow over the accident in Sirubari, Ramechhap Municipality-2, which resulted in the deaths of two people. Krishna Prasad Dulal, the acting chief secretary of the party's central office, issued a press release offering condolences to those who lost their lives in the accident and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The statement mentioned that party President Gagan Kumar Thapa offered tributes to the deceased in the incident, prayed for the eternal peace of their souls, and expressed condolences to the bereaved families. Furthermore, he wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and demanded that the government provide appropriate honor to the families of the deceased and arrange proper treatment for the injured.

The press release, quoting President Thapa, stated, "I am extremely saddened and shocked by the incident where Election Officer Dor Prasad Ghimire died during treatment and Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Parshuram Yadav died on the spot, while seven others were seriously injured, when a vehicle carrying election materials en route to the polling station during the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 met with an accident. I offer heartfelt tributes to the deceased, pray for the eternal peace of their souls, and express deep condolences to the bereaved families. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured and strongly demand that the government arrange appropriate honor for the families of the deceased and proper treatment for the injured."

Two people died and seven were injured today afternoon when the vehicle carrying polling materials and staff met with an accident.
