2,449 Temporary Voters Registered in Lalitpur for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Lalitpur. A total of 2,449 temporary voters have been registered in Lalitpur district for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. According to the District Election Office, security personnel and staff deployed for election duties will be allowed to cast their votes for the Proportional Representation (PR) ballot at the polling station where they are assigned.

Goma Dhamala, Chief of the District Election Office, informed that separate polling centers have been designated at two locations for staff and security personnel who are not deployed for election duties.

Polling centers for temporary voters to cast their PR votes have been established at the Model Machhindra Secondary School in Lagankhel and at the Narkhu Prison.

Inmates, staff, and security personnel at Narkhu Prison will be able to cast their PR votes from that location. As per the Election Commission's directive, temporary voters are only entitled to vote under the Proportional Representation system.

According to the District Election Office, Lalitpur has a total of 269,256 voters, comprising 131,549 women and 137,707 men. The office stated that 131 polling stations and 318 polling centers have been designated across the district.
