Suspicious Object Found on Road in Rautahat Ahead of Federal Elections

Rautahat. With only three days remaining until the upcoming House of Representatives election, a suspicious object was discovered on a public road in Rajapur Municipality-3, Rautahat.

Locals reported the suspicious item, which appeared to be a wire pipe inside an empty drum, to the police this morning on the road in Rajapur-3, which borders the Indian border.

District Police Spokesperson DSP Bishnu Pradip Basnyal confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation into the suspicious object is underway and that a Nepali Army disposal team from Narayan Dal Battalion in Gaur Puranawa has been dispatched to the scene. The District Police Office, Rautahat, stated that further details regarding the incident are yet to come.
