Candidate Calls Black Flag Incident During Magar Day Event a Peaceful Expression of Dissent

Tanahun. Manjil Rana, the candidate for Ujyalo Nepal Party from Tanahun-1, issued a press release stating that the black flag incident observed during the Magar Day program was a peaceful expression of dissent.

The statement mentioned that the youths exercised their democratic rights to express disagreement. It was stated that citizens have the constitutional right to express their views peacefully and this right must be respected.

The press release also accused some groups affiliated with Rabi Lamichhane of unnecessarily escalating the situation during the program. However, Manjil Rana urged all parties to exercise restraint and tolerance, emphasizing that political competition should remain within democratic values and norms.
