Labor Culture Party Chairman Harkaraj Rai Stresses National Sovereignty Over Development

Dharan. Harkaraj Rai (Sampang), Chairman of the Labor Culture Party, stated that national sovereignty is a more important issue than any development. Addressing a large public gathering organized in Dharan today, he mentioned that the foundation of nation-building is sovereignty, labor, and public participation.

Urging people to view the election scheduled for the 21st as an opportunity to select the right leadership, Chairman Rai appealed for votes for candidates who work rather than just talk. "Elections are a process of choosing; therefore, the time has come for the people to think and decide. Now, everyone must unite to build and save the country," he said. "It is necessary to expand the labor culture campaign nationwide." He emphasized the need to create an environment where labor is respected within the country to change the situation of Nepali youth who are forced to sell their labor abroad.

He stated that politics based on truth and facts, ending social discrimination, is necessary. He expressed confidence that if capable and responsible leadership is chosen after the upcoming elections, the development campaign based on public participation will gain momentum.
