Rabi Lamichhane Greeted With Black Flags by Activists of Kulman Ghising's Party in Tanahun

Pokhara. Party Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, was shown black flags by activists of the Ujyalo Nepal Party led by Kulman Ghising.

On Friday, as Lamichhane arrived in Damauli, the district headquarters of Tanahun, to address a party rally, they displayed black flags to him on the main road.

The reason why the black flags were shown has not been disclosed. The candidate for that area, Manjil Rana, stated that showing black flags was not an official program of the party.

When the police obstructed the protestors, there was a brief scuffle. The police also took some activists of the Ujyalo Nepal Party into custody.

The protestors sat on a sit-in protest on the zebra crossing at the main chowk of Damauli, alleging that the police had assaulted female activists of the Ujyalo Nepal Party who were protesting.
