Nepali Congress President Thapa Pledges to Investigate Former PM Deuba's Assets If Party Forms Government

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has expressed his commitment that if his party forms the government, they will first investigate the assets of former party President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Speaking at an election rally organized in Pokhara on Friday, he stated that if his party forms the government, they will first investigate the assets of Deuba, who was the Prime Minister, and himself, who has served as a minister.

President Thapa asserted that the Congress's resolution is to form a powerful commission for corruption investigation and work in such a way that no one can engage in corruption in the country again. President Thapa also assured that if the Congress forms the government, it will work towards bringing revolutionary transformation in every sector, including education, health, agriculture, employment, and industry, within five years.

President Thapa also claimed that the Congress has discussed in detail all matters concerning moving the country forward in order for the Congress to take the leadership of the government.
