Tipper Driver Dies After Truck Bed Contacts High-Voltage Power Line in Siraha

Siraha. A tipper driver died this morning due to electrocution in Gurudham, Golbazar Municipality-2, Siraha. Santosh Sah, 43, a local resident, died when the vehicle suddenly became electrified while he was cleaning the tipper with registration number Province 2-01-001 Ka 0045.

Police stated that the horrific accident occurred when the tipper's hydraulic system touched the 11 KV high-voltage power line above while lifting the dump bed. According to the Area Police Office, Golbazar, Sah had raised the rear part of the tipper while preparing to spray water after cleaning it.

During that process, the dump bed touched the electric wire, causing current to flow through the tipper. The District Police Office, Siraha, confirmed that Sah, who was seriously injured by the electric shock, died en route to Lifeline Hospital in Golbazar for immediate treatment.

Some parts of the tipper were also damaged by fire following the electrical short circuit. According to Police Inspector Sudan KC, a police team reached the scene immediately after being informed of the incident and began further investigation. The deceased's body has been sent to the Provincial Hospital in Lahan for post-mortem examination.
