Global Abacus and Vedic Maths 2026 Successfully Held in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur : The Global Abacus and Vedic Maths 2026 was successfully held on 26 February 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The international championship brought together talented young students from India, Nepal, Malaysia and other participating countries, highlighting the growing global importance of Abacus and Vedic Mathematics education.
The event was jointly organized by South Asian Development Bank Limited (United Kingdom), Ray Foundation (India), Pacific Alliance Group (Malaysia), Bal Bikas NCMAS Pvt. Ltd. (Nepal), Raise Abacus (India), and Gurushree Abacus & Vedic Maths (India). The programme received official media support from Voice of Asia International News.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Zarif Menon, Chairman, South Asian Development Bank (SADB), with Datuk Dr. M. Shimi, Chief Guest, Former President Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam, and special guests including Kausal Kumar, Editor-in-Chief, Voice Asia News; Azza Rahman, MD/CEO AMS; Leslie Charles Albuquerque, MD/CEO PAiC; Teju Nepal, Founder/CEO, Bal Bikas NCMAS Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. R.V. Shyam Prasad, Founder & Managing Director, Sunshine Educational Group (M) Sdn. Bhd.; Amol Gawner, CEO, Raise Abacus; and Avinash Bhise, Founder, Gurushree Education Academy.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Dr. Zarif Menon praised the students for their remarkable speed, focus, and accuracy in solving complex mathematical problems, often surpassing calculators and digital tools. He noted that the students showed greater enthusiasm for solving mental maths than formal speeches, reflecting their dedication and discipline. Dr. Menon highlighted that abacus education enhances both mathematical ability and concentration, and he expressed his appreciation to the organizing team. He also stated that the Pacific Alliance Group looks forward to collaborating on future events and expanding participation to more countries.
The competition was conducted across multiple categories and levels designed to evaluate speed, precision, concentration and advanced analytical ability through internationally recognized Abacus and Vedic Mathematics methodologies. Participants demonstrated exceptional mathematical competence, underscoring the academic rigor and global standards maintained by the organizers.
In the Y3 Level category, Swaranjil Santosh Jadhav of Gurushree Education Academy, India secured first position. In the Z1 Level category, Bachaspati Dhakal of KGS School, Nepal, achieved first position. Krishna Tamang of Himshrinkhala Academy, Nepal, secured first place in the Z2A Level category.

Under the Vedic Maths Championship category, Vivika Hirani of Gurushree Abacus and Vedic Maths, India, secured first position.
In the Z2B Level category, Rachana Tamang of Himshrinkhala Academy, Nepal, attained first position. Prithak Rai of Sanskar Shikshyalaya, Nepal, secured first place in the X1 Level category, while Krishiv Giri of Bal Batika Pathshala, Nepal, achieved first position in the X2 Level category.
In the X3A Level category, Abin Ale Magar of Noble School, Nepal, secured first position. Yashiman Lama of Pathibhara Academy, Nepal, achieved first place in the X3B Level category.
In the Y1 Level category, Avan Maharjan of Kathmandu Pragya Kunja School, Nepal, secured first position. In the Y2 Level category, Sanip Adhikari of Savyata Pathshala achieved first place.
The successful conclusion of Global Abacus and Vedic Maths 2026 further strengthened international academic cooperation and reaffirmed the growing global momentum of Abacus and Vedic Mathematics education as a transformative tool for cognitive development and analytical excellence among young learners.
