Nepal Stock Exchange Index Sees Slight Gain on Last Trading Day of the Week

Kathmandu. On the last trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index showed a slight improvement. On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 6.03 points to close at 2654.93 points.

Today, a total of 15.3 million shares of 335 companies were traded. The total share transaction value for the day reached NPR 4,174,630,051.00.

Among the companies traded today, the share prices of 137 companies increased, while 118 companies saw their prices decrease. The share price of 7 companies remained stable.

Salpa Development Bank was the top gainer today, with its share price increasing by 9.99 percent to NPR 584.50 per share. Similarly, Reliance Spinning Mill's price increased by 9.26 percent, and Him Star's price increased by 6 percent.

Among the sector indices, four sectors including Hotel, Manufacturing, Microfinance, and Mutual Fund declined, while the remaining sectors increased. The Non-Life Insurance group saw the highest increase of 1.06 percent.

In terms of transaction value, Api Power Company topped the list today. Shares worth NPR 326,832,000.00 of this company were traded. Following this, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company saw transactions worth NPR 211,300,000.00, and SY Panel saw transactions worth NPR 155,100,000.00.
