Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari Inspects Residence Destroyed in Gen Z Protests

Kathmandu. Former President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari has inspected her private residence, which was destroyed by fire during the Gen Z movement, for the first time.

Former President Bhandari inspected the structures of the burned residence after reaching Budhanilkantha-2 on Thursday morning.

During the protests on Bhadra 24, protestors burned government and private structures, including Bhandari's residence. Following the fire at the residence, security personnel moved her to a safe location on Bhadra 24 itself. Since then, she has been staying at her daughter's residence in Baluwatar.
