First Look Poster Released for Upcoming Nepali Film 'Paralko Aago'

The first look poster for the film 'Paralko Aago' (Straw Fire), set to release on Baisakh 11, has been unveiled. The first look, released on Thursday, features the film's three main characters—Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, and Prakash Saput—all appearing with very serious expressions.

Suhana is depicted with vermilion in her parting and a tika on her forehead, yet the poster reflects that her heart is not happy. Meanwhile, Prakash Saput is seen covered with a shawl, his eyes appearing moist. The faces of both Prakash and Saugat Malla look tearful. These three characters hint that the film's narrative is mysterious and based on social conflict.

Directed by Laxman Sunar, the film addresses rural settings, family relationships, and the psychological and emotional struggles hidden within society. The film stars Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Suhana Thapa, Sirjana Adhikari, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and child artist Manjila Baniya, among others.

The film, produced by Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., has Sushil Pokharel as its producer. The distribution is being handled by R Films.

The story 'Paralko Aago,' which is included in Guruprasad Mainali's story collection 'Naso,' was also directed as a film 45 years ago by Pratap Subba.
