186,000 Temporary Voters Registered for Upcoming Federal Parliament Elections

Kathmandu. A total of 186,000 temporary voters have been registered for the upcoming Federal Parliament elections. These voters will be able to cast their ballots at designated polling stations for the proportional representation system.

The provision allows for the inclusion of individuals whose names are on the voter list but who cannot travel to their assigned polling station due to election duty or other reasons, to be included in the temporary voter list.

The names of employees working for the Government of Nepal, Provincial Government, Local Level, and government-owned entities, as well as military and police personnel, prison inmates and convicts, election staff and security personnel, and heads and office-bearers of constitutional bodies are included in the permanent voter rolls.

The Election Commission's Deputy Spokesperson, Kul Bahadur GC, informed that 143 polling stations have been designated for these temporary voters.
