Over 5,000 Personnel to be Deployed for Upcoming House of Representatives Election in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East)

Nawalparasi. More than five thousand personnel will be mobilized in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) Nawalpur for the upcoming House of Representatives election in 2082 BS.

According to Kamal Prasad Gyawali, Chief Election Officer for Nawalpur-1, 1,869 election employees and 3,500 security personnel will be mobilized in the district to ensure the election is conducted peacefully. A total of 1,869 employees, including polling officers, assistant polling officers, and support staff, will be mobilized for the election. Similarly, 3,500 security personnel, including the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Election Police, and Armed Police Force, will be mobilized for election security.

Chief Election Officer Gyawali informed that eight employees, including one polling officer, will be assigned to every polling station to conduct the election. Election Officer Gyawali stated that preparations are underway to deploy the polling officers to the polling stations after providing them training on Falgun 14 and 15. He mentioned that all 51 types of election materials required for the election in the district, including ballot papers, ballot boxes, rubber stamps, and seals, have arrived in the district.

District Election Officer Lal Prasad Sharma Bhusal stated that approximately six lakh ballot papers have arrived in the district for the election. He informed that 146,000 ballot papers for the first-past-the-post system and 154,000 for the proportional representation system have arrived in the House of Representatives Constituency No. 1. Likewise, he stated that 141,000 ballot papers for the first-past-the-post system and 141,000 for the proportional representation system have arrived in Constituency No. 2.

Constituency No. 1 in this area has 137,081 voters, and Constituency No. 2 has 131,445 voters. A total of 311 polling stations, including one temporary polling station, have been established in the district. Election Officer Sharma, informing that a temporary polling station has been set up at the Shiva Secondary School polling station in Kawasoti Municipality-2, stated that 3,442 personnel, including election staff and security personnel, will cast their votes here.
