Police Rescue Man Held Hostage in Kathmandu Hotel; Three Arrested

Kathmandu. Police have safely rescued a person who was held hostage in a hotel in Teku, Kathmandu. Police have also arrested three individuals on charges of abduction and illegal confinement.

A special police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, rescued the victim from 'Roadline Palace Hotel' located in Teku, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12.

The police received specific information that Purna Bahadur Bohara was held hostage, beaten, and injured in Room No. 105 of the hotel operated by Shiva Bahadur Gharti. Based on this information, the deployed team safely rescued Bohara.

Police have arrested three individuals on charges of involvement in the incident. Those arrested are Fupendra Neupane, Dhanraj Basnet, and Shiva Bahadur Gharti. 

Police Superintendent Rameshwor Karki, Information Officer at the Crime Investigation Office, informed that all three arrested individuals have been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, for further investigation and necessary action regarding the offense of abduction and illegal confinement.
