Nepali Singer and Artist Kamal B. Nirmohi Passes Away After Kidney Ailment

Kathmandu. Singer and artist Kamal B. Nirmohi has passed away. Radhika Hamal Pun, senior vice-president of the Lok Tatha Dohori Geet Pratisthan, informed that Nirmohi, who was suffering from kidney disease, died on Tuesday evening during treatment. Born in the then Phulbari Rural Municipality of Dang, Nirmohi had been residing in Nepalgunj.

According to family sources, Nirmohi suddenly fell unconscious on Tuesday evening and was first admitted to the ICU of Bheri Hospital for treatment. When his condition did not improve, he was moved to a ventilator.

His wife, Heramdevi Bik, who was also suffering from kidney disease, passed away on the 23rd of Magh. Kamal B. Nirmohi, a radio personality and folk singer who mesmerized listeners in Western Nepal by speaking on the radio for over three decades, had long been dedicated to Nepali folk music and media. Nirmohi has also hosted numerous stage programs.

His songs including 'Bulbul Talaima', 'Aaun Ta Bhane', 'Maille Bhanthhe Ni', 'Salal Bagne', 'Taane Jhai Maya', 'Aru Maille', 'Banako Phool Phulechha', 'Kathai Sanu', 'Bheri Dobhan', and 'Laagyo Maya' are popular.
