KP Sharma Oli Mocks Rivals Declaring Themselves Prime Minister Casually

Jhapa. CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that some people have declared themselves Prime Minister in jest. Targeting Balen Shah, Oli sarcastically remarked that some people have declared them Prime Minister as if children were saying it.

Speaking at an election rally organized in Jhapa on Monday, he cautioned against taking the post of Prime Minister lightly as a responsibility. He also stated that he is contesting the election to complete the work he initiated when he led the government.

Chairman Oli said, 'When I am removed from the government, the country becomes like a car without a driver. As soon as I come to power, the country moves again. As soon as I leave the government, the country remains where it was. This is what has been happening. I hear—if you ask children what they want to be, they might say Prime Minister or President. But that doesn't mean they become one. They just declare themselves. It seems like a joke to such people. But it is not like that.'

Chairman Oli asserted that the country's condition becomes like a car abandoned by its driver after he leaves the government. He also claimed that he launched a campaign for the country's prosperity while leading the government. Chairman Oli concluded that the Nepali people must vote for UML in the upcoming elections because there is no alternative to UML for making the country prosperous. – News Agency Nepal
