CPN-UML Chairman Oli Directs Cadres to Form 30-Volunteer Security Force for Every Polling Booth

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed party leaders and cadres to form at least a 30-person volunteer force for the security of every polling booth. Speaking at the party's Koshi Province level gathering organized in Jhapa on Monday, he alerted the entire party rank and file to prepare for mobilizing volunteers from the party's side for the security of every booth in view of the upcoming elections.

Chairman Oli also appealed to party leaders and cadres to form security committees in every locality for vote protection during the elections. He clarified that the volunteer forces established at the local level would work according to the party's decisions and directives, and the environment should be created for their mobilization accordingly.

Chairman Oli said, 'Form security committees in every village, in every locality. And support the party in forming the National Volunteer Force. Furthermore, the local party should not try to run things by interfering too much. Mass organizations should be allowed to function in their own way. However, the Volunteer Force will not clash with the decisions and directives of the local party. For the election, form at least 30 volunteers for every booth. And move forward keeping that in mind.'

Chairman Oli also stated that the party had to form the Volunteer Force to support the security agencies for the country's security.
