Bus Crash in Dhading Kills 19 En Route to Kathmandu

Tanahun. Nineteen people died when a bus with registration number Ga 2 Kha 1421, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, met with an accident at Bhaisigouda in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5, Dhading. Three of the deceased were from Tanahun.

Police Deputy Superintendent Prakash Dahal informed that nine of the deceased have been identified so far. According to him, the deceased include 40-year-old Omkumar Malla from Byas Municipality-4, Tanahun; 55-year-old Bishnumaya Dhakal from Shuklagandaki Municipality-7; and 45-year-old Hariprasad Sigdel from Bhimad Municipality-6.

Similarly, 45-year-old Somprasad Malla from Shuklagandaki Municipality-4, Tanahun; 44-year-old Manbahadur Thapa from Myagde Rural Municipality-6; 38-year-old Sukumaya Shrestha from Byas Municipality-5; Sadikshya Hamal from Shuklagandaki Municipality-12; and 18-year-old Subin Malla from Shuklagandaki Municipality-4 were injured. Police stated that they are undergoing treatment in Kathmandu.
