Home Minister Calls Meeting Over Fatal Dhading Bus Crash

Kathmandu. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has called a meeting of stakeholders to discuss the bus accident that occurred in Dhading. Ministry of Home Affairs Spokesperson (Joint Secretary) Anand Kafle told Ratopati that the regulatory body of the transport sector and security chiefs have been called for discussion.

The meeting includes the Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the Director General of the Department of Transport Management, the chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting will discuss relief, compensation, treatment arrangements, and other related issues. The bus with registration number Ga 2 Kha 1421, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, fell into the Trishuli River near Charoudi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading, at around 1:15 AM on Monday. SP Dillinarayan Pandey of the Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Ramnagar, told Ratopati that 19 people died in the accident. Twenty-five people were injured in the accident.
