Nepali Congress Expresses Grief Over Fatal Bus Accident in Dhading

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has expressed sorrow over the bus accident that occurred in Dhading.

A passenger bus with registration number Ga 1 Kha 1421, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, fell into the Trishuli River at Bhaisigouda in Ward No. 5 of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading, at approximately 1:30 AM today, resulting in the deaths of 19 people.

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, in a statement on Monday, expressed deep sorrow over the accident and offered heartfelt condolences to the deceased. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy on behalf of the party and himself to the bereaved families.

President Thapa also urged the government to arrange for the proper treatment of the injured.

He emphasized the need for the government to immediately form a task force to conduct an in-depth study of such incidents, as road accidents have been increasing recently, and to draw attention to minimizing such occurrences.
