Rabi Lamichhane Expresses Deep Sorrow Over Fatal Bus Accident in Dhading

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has expressed deep sorrow over the significant human loss in the bus accident that occurred in Dhading while traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Lamichhane offered condolences to those who lost their lives in this tragic moment, wished for the speedy recovery of the injured, and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families.

He wrote on social media, 'Making road travel safe is the responsibility of the state. However, serious attention and concern were not given to this in the past. An impartial and serious investigation into the accident should have identified the cause, action taken against the guilty, and concrete corrective measures implemented to prevent recurrence in the future, but this was not done.'

He asserted that safe roads, responsible drivers, strictly enforced regulations, and effective monitoring are the basis for preventing such tragedies. 'We will be serious and responsible,' he wrote.

The death toll from the bus accident in Dhading has reached 19. Armed Police Force Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that 17 people died on the spot, and an additional 2 died during treatment.
