Christian Community Presents 9-Point Demands to CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli in Damak

Damak. The Christian community has submitted a memorandum with nine demands to CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Leaders from the community met Oli in Damak, his home constituency of Jhapa Constituency No. 5, on Sunday and handed over the memorandum urging arrangements for equal treatment of all religions and beliefs in the secular nation.

Community leaders, including City Chairman Hemant Subba and Advisor Akash Thulung, presented the memorandum to Oli, which included demands such as the arrangement of burial sites for post-death rites and the inclusion of major Christian festivals in national holidays and leave days. Oli, who is a candidate for Jhapa Constituency No. 5 in the upcoming House of Representatives election, is currently busy in his constituency.
