Betadi Tightens Restrictions on Alcohol Sales Ahead of Federal Elections

Betadi. In view of the upcoming House of Representatives election, strict measures have been imposed on the sale, distribution, and transportation of alcoholic beverages in Betadi. Restrictions on the sale of alcoholic products have been tightened in the district to ensure the election is conducted in a clean, fair, and fear-free environment.

Administrative Officer Bhojlal Tharu of the District Administration Office informed that the sale and distribution of alcohol have been prohibited after 7:00 PM starting from February 9 until the election is concluded. He stated that the decision to tighten restrictions was made after discussions with business owners to regulate the sale, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic products.

Administrative Officer Tharu further informed that a decision has been made to completely prohibit the sale and distribution of alcoholic items during the silence period, and to prohibit the transportation and movement of alcohol from February 11 to 24. "After discussions with the business owners, we have decided to regulate the sale, distribution, and transportation of alcoholic products," he said, "If this decision is found to be violated, action will be taken according to prevailing laws." Eleven candidates are in the electoral field in Betadi for the election.
