Siraha District Election Office to Conduct Training for Polling Officers Ahead of Upcoming By-elections

Siraha. Targeting the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for this Falgun 21, the District Election Office, Siraha, is set to conduct a one-day training session for Polling Officers and Assistant Polling Officers. The office announced on Friday through a notice that the training will commence from Saturday.

According to Rajan Srivastava, Chief of the District Election Office, the training will be held at the Suryanarayan Satyanarayan Morvaita Yadav Multipurpose Campus in the district headquarters, Siraha. The training is scheduled to begin at 10 AM. "The training is organized with the objective of enhancing the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct the election in a fair, transparent, and systematic manner," stated Chief Srivastava.

According to the office, separate training sessions will be conducted on different dates for the Polling Officers of Electoral Constituencies No. 1, 2, 3, and 4. Similarly, separate training dates have been set for the Assistant Polling Officers of Electoral Constituencies No. 1 and 2, and No. 3 and 4. The training is expected to continue until the 14th.

"All concerned officials must be present on the specified date and time," the notice issued by the office mentioned. The training will cover topics such as the polling process, ballot paper management, polling station operation, adherence to the code of conduct, vote counting procedures, and management of emergency situations. The office believes this training will help make the election process more effective, dignified, and reliable.

The District Election Office has urged all concerned Polling Officers and Assistant Polling Officers to be present on time and make the training a success.
