Election Commissioner Expresses Confidence in Peaceful, Fair Upcoming Federal Polls

Morang. Acting Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari has expressed confidence that the Election Commission, committed to conducting the upcoming House of Representatives election in a peaceful, impartial, and fear-free environment, will receive cooperation from all concerned stakeholders.

Speaking at an interaction program on 'Effective Implementation of the Code of Conduct for Elections and the Role of Stakeholders' organized by the Election Commission and the Nepal Law Society in Biratnagar on Friday, Acting Commissioner Bhandari expressed belief that cooperation would be received from all sectors involved in making the election historic and festive with maximum public participation.

He clarified that anyone violating the election code of conduct will face action and requested everyone to participate in the election process with restraint, adhering to methods and procedures. Acting Commissioner Bhandari informed that the use of vehicles with Indian license plates in election campaigning and other activities is prohibited and drew the attention of political parties and candidates to remain vigilant about this.

Stating that the election is being held with frugality and at the lowest possible cost, he requested all concerned parties to manage expenses within the stipulated limits.
