Prime Minister Sushila Karki Extends Greetings on 76th Democracy Day

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki extended heartfelt best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers on the occasion of the 76th Democracy Day.

Prime Minister Karki, extending her wishes through social media, recalled that the 2007 revolution made people citizens from subjects, and also mentioned that the first parliamentary election started on this day in 2015, referring to this day as Election Day as well.

On social media, she wrote, "We failed at the leadership level to make democracy a way of life. We had to agitate repeatedly. Now we must end that fate. Let us address the resolve against corruption, nepotism, and discrimination through institutional reform."

Mentioning this day as Election Day, the Prime Minister urged everyone to unite for democratic stability and a prosperous Nepal through clean, fair, and fear-free elections.

Prime Minister Karki paid heartfelt tribute to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy and good governance.
