CPN-UML Chairman Oli Stresses Protecting Constitution and People's Rights

Kathmandu. Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has emphasized the need to protect the constitution and keep the rights of the people alive.

While extending best wishes to all Nepalis residing at home and abroad on the occasion of National Democracy Day, he stated that it is necessary to protect national independence, preserve the dignity of the nation, and safeguard the nation's damaged heritage.

In his congratulatory message, he said, "Today is Democracy Day, the historic day when the dawn of freedom and rights emerged following the end of the autocratic Rana regime through the courage, sacrifice, and martyrdom of the people. Heartfelt tribute and respect to the immortal martyrs Shukraraj Shastri, Dasharath Chand, Dharmabhakta Mathema, and Gangalal Shrestha who sacrificed their lives for democracy."
