Home Minister Expresses Confidence in Fair and Fearless By-elections on Falgun 21

Kathmandu. Home Minister and Spokesperson for the Government of Nepal, Om Prakash Aryal, expressed confidence that the House of Representatives by-election scheduled for this Falgun 21 will be conducted in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment.

During a site inspection today of various polling centers and the Election Officer's office in the Sundarijal area of Kathmandu Constituency No. 3, as part of the election preparations, he gathered information regarding security arrangements and necessary preparations.

During the inspection, Home Minister Aryal instructed the concerned officials to remain vigilant against false and misleading information and propaganda that might appear on social media, and to ensure the election is conducted peacefully. A team including the Home Secretary, the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, and heads of security agencies observed the polling centers at Gokarneshwor and Okhreni Secondary Schools, as well as the Dhapdyam area.

On that occasion, the Election Officers informed that preparations, including manpower management, voter education, and transportation of election materials, were proceeding smoothly.
