Police Investigate Jeep Driver After Viral Video Shows Assault on Pedestrian

Kathmandu. Police have begun an investigation into the driver of a jeep who was seen assaulting a pedestrian on the street. A video showing the driver of vehicle Ba.3 Cha 1103 getting out and slapping a pedestrian has gone viral on social media.

SP Pawan Bhattarai of the Kathmandu District Police Complex told Ratopati that an investigation into the video obtained from social media has been initiated. He stated, 'It is understood that the incident occurred within the Kathmandu Valley, and we are investigating the matter.'

Sajha Yatayat (public transport) and taxis are visible on the road in the video. The individual getting out of the jeep is seen slapping the pedestrian twice while saying, 'Hey drunkard, what did you say?' A woman accompanying him is also seen telling the pedestrian, 'Shouldn't we hit you with slippers?'
