Nepali Congress VP Sharma Pledges Reforms in Governance and Conduct

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that they will bring improvements in seating, speech, and governance.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Congress District Office building and the unveiling of the statue of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala in Lamjung on Monday, Vice President Sharma reiterated that they will reform seating, speech, and governance.

'The transformed Congress will now improve the nation's seating, speech, and governance. Breaking the tradition of any individual continuously occupying power, we will inscribe the policy of 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the constitution,' stated Vice President Sharma, adding, 'Henceforth, no one will be allowed to remain Prime Minister or Chief Minister more than twice.'

He urged party leaders and workers to spread love, not abuse, in the electoral arena. Sharma mentioned that while healthy criticism is natural, politics cannot be made healthy by abusing one another, and Congress will not sow seeds of future disappointment through speeches and manifestos by giving any assurance just to win elections.

Vice President Sharma stated that they will reform governance in line with the spirit of the 'Genji Rebellion'.

'We have meticulously analyzed the necessary reforms in the country's governance,' said Vice President Sharma, 'In accordance with the spirit of the Genji Rebellion, we will make those reforms, modifications, and overall changes possible.'
