Armed Police Seize Over 300 Kg of Marijuana in Separate Operations in Sunsari and Morang

Kathmandu. The Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested one person and seized a total of 303 kilograms of marijuana in separate operations conducted in Sunsari and Morang districts. A team deployed from the APF Border Security Battalion, Captanganj, recovered 28.680 kg of marijuana that was being illegally transported from Nepal towards India.

The APF stated that the marijuana was recovered from the border area between Dewanganj Rural Municipality-4 and 5 in Sunsari. The individual involved in the marijuana trafficking managed to flee, according to the APF.

Similarly, the APF reported that 28-year-old Chandan Sah, a resident of the same rural municipality-1, was apprehended with approximately 275 kg of marijuana from Madhumalla in Jahada Rural Municipality-2, Morang.

A team deployed from the APF Border Security Battalion, Rani, took him into custody along with the recovered marijuana. APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that the arrested individual, along with the seized marijuana, has been handed over to the relevant authorities for necessary action.
