KP Sharma Oli: Nepal Heading Towards Fascism

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the country is heading towards fascism. Addressing the program to launch the new version of the party's website and app at the party's central office in Chyasal on Friday, Chairman Oli said that the government's activities are moving towards fascism.

"Things that should not happen are happening. Things that should not happen have to be tolerated. This is fascism. This is Nazism," Oli said, "The National Service Corps was formed, and now it is being used for political purposes with huge government expenditure."

Expressing concern over the government's activities becoming dictatorial, Chairman Oli said that the government has insulted the public by blocking the gates of media houses with vehicles.

Oli said that the government is trying to get people in civil dress to attack those who protest. Oli alleged that the country is suffocating and in a state of distress due to the government's actions of blocking vehicles and intimidating people, and that the government is leading the work of disrupting society, creating chaos, and violating the law.

Oli, who also said that even the parliament has been suppressed by the government, stated that political parties need to break the executive control over all state organs. However, Oli commented that the vision to see far ahead is disappearing in political parties.
