India Dominates Namibia with 93-Run Victory in T20 World Cup Fixture

Kathmandu. In today's match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as part of the T20 World Cup, India registered an impressive 93-run victory over Namibia.

Batting first after losing the toss, India set a challenging total of 209 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Namibia was bundled out for 116 runs in just 18.2 overs.

Ishan Kishan provided an aggressive start for India, smashing a rapid half-century, scoring 61 runs off just 24 balls. Hardik Pandya made a crucial contribution of 52 runs, while Tilak Varma added 25 runs. Shivam Dube was run out for 23. Captain Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for 12 runs, stumped by wicketkeeper Zane Green off the bowling of Bernard Scholtz.

Sanju Samson was caught out by Ben Shikongo for 22 runs, while Axar Patel returned to the pavilion for a duck.

Namibia's captain, Gerhard Erasmus, delivered an excellent bowling performance, taking 4 wickets. Notably, in the 19th over, he dismissed Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, and Hardik Pandya consecutively, creating pressure on India.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Namibia had decided to field first. However, the aggressive performance of India's top-order batsmen foiled Namibia's plans, allowing India to secure an emphatic victory in the tournament.
