India Hands Over Vehicles and Materials to Nepal Ahead of Federal Parliament Elections

Kathmandu. The Government of India has handed over vehicles and other materials to the Government of Nepal, targeting the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, handed over the third phase of materials during a program organized at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday. The Home Minister, the Chief of the Nepali Army, the Chief of Nepal Police, and other high-ranking officials were present at the event.

The Government of India stated that it has provided a total of 589 vehicles, including 62 in the first phase, 254 in the second phase, and 223 in the third phase. Additionally, 50 vehicles were handed over to the Nepali Army on the same occasion.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had requested material assistance from the Government of India through the Ministry of Finance to provide the necessary vehicles for the election purposes. Accordingly, the Government of India provided the support.
