Fugitive Convicted of Attempted Murder Arrested After 10 Years in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a fugitive accused in an attempted murder case after 10 years on the run. A police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Dhawa Tshiring Lama, originally from Shailung Rural Municipality-4, Dolakha, and residing in Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu.

Tshiring was convicted by the Dolakha District Court on Magh 4, 2074 BS, in a case involving robbery and attempted murder. The court sentenced him to 10 years in prison and a fine of 101,199 rupees per person. Following the court's verdict, Ghising, who had been absconding, was arrested by the police from Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu, on Tuesday. 

Kathmandu Police stated that Tshiring, also known by the alias Rakesh, has been sent to the Kathmandu District Court for the execution of the sentence.
