Nepali Congress Vice President Sharma Asserts Party's Historical Role in Providing National Direction

Dang. Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that the Congress has demonstrated the capacity to provide direction to the nation at every turning point in history. Vice President Sharma further stated that the Congress possesses the ability to lead the country from its current state into a new phase of confidence by coordinating with different generations.

Addressing the district-level grand assembly organized by the Nepali Congress District Working Committee Dang on Wednesday, Vice President Sharma also mentioned that Nepali voters must take the current situation seriously.

He said, 'Congress became the leading party from the second Constituent Assembly election in '070 [Bikram Sambat], and the country received a constitution within two years. Today, Nepali voters must make a serious decision. Will they repeat the mistake of '064 [Bikram Sambat] or exercise the wisdom shown in '070? Because the main question is not which party will win, the main question is who can lead the country to a new way out of the difficult situation.'

 He also stressed the necessity of examining and understanding this based on historical facts.
