Russian Strikes in Kharkiv Kill at Least Four, Including Three Children

Kyiv. At least 4 people were killed in a Russian attack on a city in western Kharkiv, it has been reported. Three of the deceased are said to be children.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, a one-year-old boy, a two-year-old girl, and a 34-year-old man inside a house died in the attack. A 35-year-old pregnant woman and another 76-year-old woman were injured in this assault.

This attack, which occurred on Tuesday night, happened as Russia resumed airstrikes after a week-long break. Two people were reportedly killed in a Russian bombing in the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk. One of the deceased is an 11-year-old girl. 

Furthermore, drone attacks across the country on Monday night left thousands without electricity. Amidst the severe cold, an article reported that a mother and her 10-year-old son also died from the cold in Bohodukhiv. An emergency has been declared in the Kharkiv region as the energy situation becomes critical.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Russian army is increasing pressure by targeting transport and energy infrastructure. Meanwhile, a major Ukrainian drone attack occurred in Russia's Volgograd region. Reports indicate damage to an apartment building and a fire at a factory there.
