Former Pakistan Pacer Ehsan Adil Debuts for USA Against Former Team in Colombo

Fast bowler Ehsan Adil, who once played international cricket for Pakistan's national team, has started a new journey by taking the field in the USA jersey against the same opponent in Colombo. After the USA won the toss and chose to bowl in the match taking place in Colombo, Adil got the opportunity to debut against his former team, Pakistan.

Included in the squad just last Monday as a replacement for the injured Jassdeep Singh, he was immediately placed in the playing eleven in place of Ali Khan, who was injured during the match against India. The 32-year-old Adil played three Tests and five One Day Internationals for Pakistan between 2013 and 2015.

Having recently moved to the USA, he has been delivering impressive performances for MI New York in all three seasons of Major League Cricket. In this historic match being played under the new floodlights at the SSC Stadium, Adil got a chance to showcase his bowling skills early on after US captain Monank Patel won the toss and decided to field first.

The USA, which put up a very competitive performance in the previous match against India, has made two changes in this game. The team has given Shayan Jahangir a chance to open in place of Saiteja Mukkamalla. Similarly, Shubham Ranjane, who batted on one leg despite being injured in the match against India, has been declared fit and remains in the squad.
