CPN Unveils Manifesto for Upcoming House of Representatives Election, Prioritizing Sovereignty and Balanced Diplomacy

Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) today, Tuesday, unveiled its commitment paper for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Jestha 21, 2082 BS.

Published under the main slogan 'Independent Nepal, Balanced Diplomacy,' the paper commits the CPN to resolving border disputes concerning Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani based on diplomatic negotiations and international law.

The party announced its commitment to further strengthening Nepal's non-aligned foreign policy, giving the highest priority to the nation's national interest, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The CPN stated that its policy is to develop balanced relations with neighboring countries based on mutual respect, trust, and benefit, giving special importance to relations with them.

The commitment paper emphasized making border management and regulation modern and effective. Furthermore, it mentioned maintaining Nepal's active and strong presence in multilateral forums such as the United Nations, SAARC, and BIMSTEC.

The CPN pledged to review unequal treaties and agreements and forge new agreements based on mutual benefit. The CPN aims to prioritize economic diplomacy, increasing foreign investment, export promotion, technology transfer, tourism, and employment opportunities.

The CPN also committed to strengthening Nepal's voice in international forums on issues of climate change, Himalayan conservation, mountain concerns, and the common interests of landlocked nations, and to building policies and structures to utilize the skills, capital, experience, and expertise of Non-Resident Nepalis in Nepal's development.

The commitment paper also covered coordinating international arrangements for the rights, welfare, and social security of Nepali workers employed abroad, and the full implementation of all approved international human rights treaties and conventions.
