Key Leaders Absent from CPN's Election Manifesto Launch

Kathmandu. Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal and leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha were absent from the launch of the Communist Party of Nepal's election manifesto.

Nepal and Shrestha's absence at the launch event held at the central office in Parisdanda on Tuesday prompted coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to provide clarification.

According to Prachanda, Nepal is currently hospitalized due to food poisoning, and Shrestha, who was also the coordinator for drafting the manifesto, is in the district for election campaigning, which is why they could not attend.

'Important leaders have not participated in the manifesto launch. Comrade Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the coordinator for drafting the manifesto, is not here. Since I have already completed my responsibility, and they said there would be no objection if it was made public, I have made it public with their permission. Similarly, it was given to the coordinator and co-coordinator of the election mobilization committee. But the co-coordinator is in the hospital due to food poisoning. Therefore, he could not come here,' he said.

Likewise, other key leaders from factions that joined the unification process also did not participate.
