Four Arrested for Attacking Armed Police During Raid on Illegal Warehouse in Birgunj

Parsa. The District Police Office has arrested four individuals who attacked the Armed Police Force while raiding an illegal warehouse in Birgunj.

On Monday, three Armed Police personnel were injured and two Armed Police vehicles were damaged when a group of local traders attacked a joint team from the Birgunj Customs Office and the Armed Police Force during a raid on an illegal warehouse located in Adarshanagar, Birgunj.

Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for Parsa Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police, informed that four people involved in the attack on the Armed Police Force were arrested by Monday night. "Necessary investigation is underway by examining the CCTV footage of those who attacked the Armed Police Force," he said, "Since the necessary investigation into those who attacked the Armed Police Force is ongoing, the names of the involved parties will be made public later."

The clash occurred when the joint team was in the process of seizing clothes illegally stored in a warehouse at Madan Prasad Gupta's house in Adarshanagar on suspicion of smuggling goods by evading customs. The Armed Police Force reported seizing goods worth approximately NPR 1.25 million from the location.
